One of our original designs, the Contender offers the convenience of a wrap above the knee and a sleeve below the knee. It is recommended for non-contact sports and activities of daily living. The polycentric hinge with contoured condyle shell has aluminum uprights and offers full flexion and extension control with settings at 0°, 15°, 30°, 60° and 90°. Also available in CoolTex, a neoprene alternative material.

  • Features ROM hinges with contoured condyle shells that allow for full flexion and extension control along with convenience of a sleeve below the knee and benefits of an adjustable wrap above the knee; available in two lengths.
  • Indicated for medial/lateral instability, muscle/ligament weakness or injury, ACL/PCL moderate instability, strains or sprains and degenerative joint disease where extension/flexion control is required.
  • Manufactured from either premium grade latex-free neoprene with leather hinge cover or CoolTex, a neoprene alternative.

Remove any metal stays if possible.
Close all contact closures and hand wash in warm water with mild soap.
Product should be air-dried.
Do not use high temperatures to wash or dry.

  1. Open ROM hinge cover, set hinge by placing pins in desired setting and close hinge cover.
  2. Make sure both hinges have identical settings.
  3. Loosen straps and open posterior closure portion of the brace.
  4.  Slide foot through the sleeve portion of the brace and place so patella opening is over kneecap.
  5. Make sure center axis of hinge is aligned with the center of the knee joint.
  6. Secure top portion behind the knee to desired comfort level.
  7. Starting with strap nearest foot, secure strap through buckle, tighten to desired comfort level.
  8. Attach remaining strap in the same manner.
